Simple Seed Bread
The beginning of a batch of seed bread
Recipe:
700g Brown Bread Flour
550g Seeds (I used a mix of Sunflower Seeds, Pumpkin Seeds, A Seed Mix and Chia Seeds)
500ml Lukewarm Water + 24g sugar / honey + 6g Active Dry Yeast
700ml Buttermilk or Whey
18g Salt
Combine all these ingredients together and mix them into a consistent batter. This is not like regular bread dough, don’t worry.
Let it sit in a closed bowl or pot for a few hours (I actually make this in a large pot and close the lid)
After a few hours have passed, spoon the mixture into prepared loaf tins. Then let it rise until the loaf tin is full.
Bake at 180C for 1.5hrs. Then let the breads cool before slicing. Enjoy!
Make sure to grease and add a little flour into the loaf pans
Sprinkle a little oats & seeds mix before letting the bread rise
The outcome - a yummy end result!
